The Druids drooled over me … gorgeous and good-looking Goth chick that I am. … Visigoths envisioned the label and it was reproduced circa early 1980’s … long after Visigoths visited varnished Vermeer vacuums.

My Spirit has never been opposed to the label and identity card, Goth. … Most women from my scene have for years fought against it … mainly because it’s the label the mainstream uses to identify us.

- Oh, I’m so not a Goth Chick.
- I’m so not Goth.
- - Goth? … (whereupon humorous and hungry howls and laughs and shrieks exude from said Goth girl.)
- EBM … Noise … Punk Rock … Steam Punk … Rock … Metal Punk … Death Metal … Industrial (Industrial is good, I like it, and of course that's one of the least favorite alternatives)
- Hardcore Punk … Earth Goddess Pagan … White Witch … Wicca Witch …
- Black Witch … and so on and so on …

Somehow, the sewers of silent films and the tans of talkies walk by each other with no confrontation, untainted by war, and keep going. … The above mentioned labels are embraced, while Goth Chick is somehow selling out, or old, or whatever.

First, most of the names they pick suck and for the ones that don’t, these girls don’t fit the label anyway. … These chicks ARE Goth Chicks, and have nothing to do with Rock or Punk Rock. … Ahhh, the triviality of tripped out trippy ho’s. … Tremendous trendiness track the tragedies.
